Virtual Wednesday Lunch – Joanne Michael – Aug. 5, 2020

Joanne Michael (KM6BWB) is an elementary-school science curriculum coach, general-class ham operator, and a self-proclaimed “space-geek”. Since 2016, she has led both high-altitude balloon launches, with a peak height of over 110,000 feet, and mid-altitude (pico) balloon launches, with the latest launch still in orbit around the Earth after over 2 weeks. She will be sharing stories of those experiences, the technology behind the transmitters, and how others can track future adventures. You’ll want to come to this one!
