The club facility at Catalina, sharing the cove just east of Emerald Bay, is unequaled for its tranquility off-season and active fun on-season. From Memorial Day to Labor Day club members enjoy an exclusive reservation service maintained by the club. This helps secure a mooring even on the busiest weekends. There’s fabulous Catalina snorkeling all around. The beach-side facilities include mature trees, a large barbecue area, picnic tables, sinks, permanent toilet facilities, sand volleyball court, fire pit and shower (water permitting). It’s a great starting point for trail hikes and bike rides around the island. Plus, there are kayaks, Optis, and a Laser or two for extra fun on the water. It’s simply unbeatable. The annual Labor Day Picnic is a favorite event for members, friends, and kids. Howland’s Landing is the destination for several of the club cruises during the season as well as a great layover point for overnight races.
