Los Angeles Yacht Club is an official American Sailing Association or ASA sailing school, which meets rigorous standards recognized internationally. Our classes meet all the ASA Standards for each class level: 101, 103, 104, 105. The club maintains a sailing calendar from which students can select lessons and instructors. Regular and group classes take place Saturday and Sunday. Individual and group lessons can be scheduled by special request on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.
ASA sailing certification facilities give sailors of all experience levels an opportunity to become more competent and confident in their abilities. If you choose to venture beyond the sailing basics, we’ll expand your horizons by teaching you to navigate with electronics and with the stars. Become certified at advanced or offshore levels to be able to navigate the world’s oceans safely and confidently. You can learn it all or select the things that interest you the most. Selecting an ASA school assures you of professional training and the best value for your sail education dollar. Instructors at American Sailing Association sailing schools also go through a rigorous certification process to ensure you of the best possible learning experience.
